SUMMARY:Equality Impact Assessment Training (Online via teams)
DESCRIPTION:All UK Fire and Rescue services are required to produce detailed Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs) for their individual policies\, projects and activities. \nThere are three clear reasons for producing robust and comprehensive assessments in your service: \n1:  EqIAs form part of HMICFRS service inspection criteria. \n2:  Assessing the impact of your activities (from equality and people perspectives) form part of the service’s statutory obligations under The Public Sector Equality Duty. \n3:  As the profiles\, expectations and ways of doing things continue to evolve\, EqIAs are the right thing to do to ensure all internal and external approaches are up to date\, reflective of modern times and fit for purpose in 2025. \nThe NFCC is offering all services the opportunity to attend a one day (split into 2 half days) virtual training course designed to impart the necessary knowledge\, skills and confidence required to complete an EqIA.   \nEvent Structure: \nDelegates attend two half day virtual events with part one exploring the theory and background to EqIAs and part two focusing on practical EqIA completion. \nBetween modules\, (normally a 1-2 week interval) delegates are given a real NFFC / service related policy and are tasked\, in smaller syndicate groups\, with undertaking a practice EqIA on that policy. \nDuring the part two events\, delegates share their findings\, receive feedback and explore a model EqIA (completed by the NFCC) on the same policy. \nBooking Info: \nThe cost is £145 plus VAT per person for the full course.  The course is split into 2 half day sessions.  You must complete both parts to have completed the training. Please only book part two if you are booking part 1. We have applied the fee to part 1 of the training so part 2 will not require any further payment.  Please select the dates that suit you for each part but we would recommend a 1-2 week interval between courses. \nImportant booking information \nPlease note there is a minimum number of people required on each course to make it financially viable to run so if we don’t have enough attendees we may ask you to move your date. \nWe can accept cancellation with 7 (working) days notice.  If you cancel after that period you will be charged even if you don’t attend. \nNo shows on the day will be charged for the course they didn’t attend plus any subsequent bookings made. \nWe accept transfer of delegate names. \nConfirmed bookings will be sent a Teams invite 10 days prior to the course start date selected.

SUMMARY:Fire Conference 2025
DESCRIPTION:The annual FIRE Conference returns on Thursday 13 November at the QEII Conference Centre in London\, once again offering both in-person and online attendance to ensure the broadest engagement possible across the sector. \nDelivered by the Institution of Fire Engineers\, Fire Protection Association\, National Fire Chiefs Council and the Fire Sector Confederation\, this one-day conference brings together key voices from the UK and international fire community. Through a programme of plenary sessions\, breakout discussions and expert panels\, this year will concentrate on ensuring the built environment is fit for tomorrow.  \nFIRE Conference 2025 will include a look at the UK’s administration and what it means for fire safety policy and the construction of homes; planned changes to Approved Document B and the Building Safety Regulator’s updates; and rural and urban wildfire resilience\, with an international panel exploring the latest global responses to this growing threat. Delegates will also hear thoughts on the future of fire engineering\, and a compelling case study on the Moss Landing battery storage facility fire in California.  \nDelegates will benefit from dedicated Q&A time with speakers and over two hours of networking with peers\, senior leaders and sector influencers\, including sponsors Belimo\, Ventro\, Risk Base\, Fire Chief and Consort Insurance\, as well as many other exhibitors.  Conference tickets are now on sale and sponsorship packages have been selling fast with workshop partner opportunities and exhibition stands remaining. Further details of the event\, including the programme and sponsorship costs\, are available on the website. \nWe look forward to welcoming delegates to what has become a vital annual conference to discuss\, debate\, share knowledge and drive progress in an era of fundamental change and reform. \nIf you know of people in your organisation who have never attended an NFCC event and would benefit from attendance\, please pass the information on. \nTickets are now available HERE \nFinally\, we are delighted to work with and showcase PartB\, an award winning team of Fire Engineering specialists\, as being our 2025 headline partners.
