DESCRIPTION:The NFCC is pleased to announce the 2026 Operational Preparedness\, Response and Resilience Conference\, taking place in Warwickshire from 9–11 February 2026.  \nThis year’s programme will cover key developments including plans for the College of Fire\, learning from select committees\, competency updates\, high-rise fire guidance\, military lessons\, and the latest emerging technologies.  \nA highlight of the event will be a case study from Arjan Bruinstroop of the Netherlands Fire Service Academy. He will present the Quadrant Model\, outlining four tactical approaches—defensive/exterior\, offensive/exterior\, defensive/interior and offensive/interior—and how it supports real-time decision-making. DESCRIPTION:NFCC ACER Conference Tuesday 24th February 2026 \nWe are delighted to confirm that the ACER Conference will take place on Tuesday 24th February 2026 at the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Training and Safety Centre\, Bury. \nThe event will begin with registration and breakfast from 08.45. Chris Neal joins us from the United States where he has been a board member of the Congressional Fire Services Institute Board of Directors\, and served as Director of Fire Protection Publications at Oklahoma State University\, as well as former Chief of Claremore and Stillwater\, Oklahoma\, Fire Departments. He will be sharing his expertise\, including his experiences incorporating new knowledge into FRS practice. \nThe Call for Papers is now CLOSED. \nThe conference is aimed at academic researchers\, fire and rescue practitioners\, and anyone with an interest in the sector.
