ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (CENTRAL STAFFING) – South Wales Fire & Rescue Service

The above permanent vacancy has arisen within the Central Staffing Department of the Operations Directorate, at Fire Service Headquarters, Llantrisant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing ALL aspects of the Tactical Manager Rotas. The role will include co-ordination of all training activities for Tactical Manager and day duty Managers. The post holder will be required to provide cover for other Administrative Officers in their absence ensuring effective support for the Central Staffing function.

Applicants must have proven experience of working in an administrative role, including evidenced experience of using Microsoft Office applications. They must be able to communicate at all levels and be able to work to deadlines on their own initiative. A flexible approach as well as excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail are essential for this post.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Drug and Alcohol test before an appointment is made.
