Chief Fire Officer – Council of the Isles of Scilly

The Council of the Isles of Scilly are looking for an experienced professional to maintain and develop the delivery of statutory services across the Fire and Rescue Service, the Council and the wider public service. You will be a strong leader with excellent stakeholder management and a desire to motivate others to succeed.

This role will provide crucial leadership and support to the Council’s Fire and Rescue Service ensuring effective delivery and developing its relationships with the broader emergency and other public services.

Reporting directly to the Council’s Chief Executive, you will have a central role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the Isles of Scilly fire service, supporting us to deliver on our statutory duties in line with the National Fire and Rescue Framework. You will be given the autonomy needed to build on our successes and transform the Service to ‘outstanding’ under the His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) inspection process.
