Watch Manager B Fire Control – Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service

SALARY: £38,979 (In Development) to £42,665 (when Competent)

CONTRACT: Permanent

Fire Control are responsible for receiving 999 and other emergency calls and sending the right fire engines and officers to emergency incidents. Fire Control staff know where all fire engines, officers and specialist appliances are across Merseyside and whether they are available to attend an emergency. Our Fire Control also co-ordinates National Resilience assets for the whole of the UK.

The Watch Manager B in Fire Control plays a key role in ensuring the team develop and maintain Core and Specialist skills and competencies.  As Officer in Charge of the control room, they take responsibility for the day to day management of the team and contribute to the effective delivery of organisational objectives.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must have experience of performing in a Fire Control supervisory manager role within the last 12 months.
