Wholetime Transfers – Avon Fire and Rescue Service

We are currently seeking competent skilled personnel from the Wholetime Duty System at other Fire and Rescue Services to transfer into Avon Fire & Rescue Service’s Wholetime Duty System. This opportunity is open to competent Firefighters, Crew Managers and Watch Managers (Wholetime only).

Please note that it is not possible to confirm the likelihood of vacancies at this moment in time.

Expression of interest forms will be reviewed and shortlisted and we will be in touch as and when we will conduct interviews and how many posts we have available.

Please be aware that you could be posted to any role, location or station within the Service, this will be based on Service needs and requirements. We cannot guarantee that you will be posted to a location near to your home address.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for this transfer opportunity:

You must be a competent Firefighter/Crew Manager/Watch Manager within a substantive Wholetime position

You must have a current in date Fitness and Medical

You must currently be employed as a Firefighter/Crew Manager/Watch Manager within a Fire & Rescue Service

You must hold a Class B driving license.
