We are inviting expressions of interest to take up the role of the National Fire Cadet Lead Officer/ Chair of Board.

The current Lead Officer for Fire Cadets is stepping down and this has created the opportunity for a new lead officer and chair of board.

UKFRS has 166 Fire Cadet Units with nearly 3000 young people attending. This role will support the continued growth of Fire Cadets and ensure they are represented at national events such as UKRO, Fire Cadet Games, Service of Remembrance.

This is an exciting opportunity to champion and drive the strategic direction and delivery of National Fire Cadets.  You will have the opportunity to be the leading representative for National Fire Cadets. In addition as the Chair of the board you would be a member of the NFCC Children and Young Person’s Executive Board. The Executive Board, chaired by CFO Phil Garrigan the NFCC CYP Lead, overseeing all workstreams to support FRSs deliver its strategic intent for children and young people.

We are looking for someone who is passionate to support the voice of young people and an understanding of the Fire Cadet National Framework.

The successful candidate will be supported by dedicated staff and resources within the NFCC Prevention Hub.

This is a voluntary position undertaken alongside your day job.
