DESCRIPTION:Improvement and Reform: National to Local; Local to National \nWe are pleased to confirm our key annual event for senior leaders is taking place on 8-10 October at the Leicester Marriott Hotel. \nThe two conference days will focus on key issues facing the sector. DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce the dates of the next national NFCC On-Call Conference\, which will be held at The Marriott Hotel\, Leicestershire on 1st and 2nd October. \nThe full programme of speakers includes UK and international colleagues\, building on last year’s conference with presentations and discussions around potential local and national solutions to community resilience and on-call firefighter recruitment and retention. Delegates will be updated on national NFCC led research\, in addition to hearing from colleagues from America and Europe discussing innovative approaches to on-call recruitment\, retention and wider community resilience. DESCRIPTION:NFCC Spring Conference: Shaping the Future  \nAnnual Spring Conference for NFCC Individual Members. \nOur annual Spring Conference for senior leaders is taking place on 22nd and 23rd April at the Leicester Marriott. The full agenda can be found here: Spring Conference Agenda. \nAs we move into a year of change\, with national\, international and our own internal NFCC Chair elections we are delighted to be joined by a fantastic line-up of speakers over the two days as follows: \n\nJaee Samant\, Director General of Public Safety at the Home Office\nZoe Wilkinson\, Deputy Director of Fire Safety at the Home Office talking to senior leaders about Minimum Service Levels\nSal Naseem\, Policing and Inclusive Culture Expert\nShadow Fire Minister Alex Norris MP (TBC)\nHMI Andy Cooke talking about the latest State of Fire report and HMICFRS priorities\n\nThe conference will follow our usual format beginning with refreshments and networking at 11.30 on 22nd.  The conference will take place from 1pm on 22nd and we will close with lunch on 23rd.  This year we are delighted to confirm that at the networking dinner on the evening of 22nd\, we will be celebrating the success of everything apprenticeships with our national apprenticeship awards – details below. \nNational Apprenticeship Awards 2024 \n\nWe are delighted to be hosting the National Fire & Rescue Apprenticeship Awards at our Members Spring Conference dinner on 22nd April. The awards recognise and celebrate the achievements and contributions of apprentices\, employers\, and training providers. \nThere are 6 awards that you can nominate for as follows: \nApprentice of the Year: \n– Non Operational Apprentice of the Year \n– Operational Apprentice of the Year \nApprenticeship Provider of the Year: Recognising outstanding data and overall performance\, Innovative Training Delivery \nExcellence in Apprenticeship Support: Recognising an outstanding team or individual committed to providing the best support for their apprentices. \nInclusion Champion Award: Individual recognised for their commitment to improve Diversity\, Culture and Inclusion in Fire Sector Apprenticeships \nOutstanding Apprenticeship Project: Projects that have made a significant impact on the community\, sustainability or charity \nApprenticeship Champion Award: The nomination will come from a colleague or contact who recognises their ‘champion’ credentials.
