Terrorist attacks
Closing Date: 12/08/2022
Consultation Status: Closed
The consultation for the National Operational Guidance: Terrorist attacks has now commenced. The survey will be open for six weeks, and close at midday on 12 August 2022.
The draft National Operational Guidance for Terrorist attacks has been developed to replace the National Operational Guidance for Marauding terrorist firearms attack (MTFA). The aim is to publish the new guidance on the National Operational Guidance website (www.ukfrs.com) rather than on ResilienceDirect. For this reason, any sensitive guidance has purposefully been omitted, and will instead be published in a Concept of Operations (ConOps) for the topic.
What happens after the consultation has closed?
All the consultation responses will be considered by the NFCC National Operational Guidance Content Team with appropriate amendments made. These will be reviewed by the NFCC MTA Capability Lead, prior to the draft guidance being approved for publication.
How to participate in the consultation
We recommend that you thoroughly read the draft document and consultation questions before completing your review online. A Word version of the questions has been provided, to enable you to gather your response before completing the survey online.
The change control at the start of the PDF file provides details of and rationale for changes. Unlike other National Operational Guidance reviews, we are unable to provide a tracked changes version, as the current edition is restricted. However, if you have the appropriate access permissions, you may wish to view the current edition on ResilienceDirect for comparison purposes.
Due to their security classification, please do not paste any content from the current Marauding terrorist firearms attack guidance or the Marauding Terrorist Attack Joint Operating Principles (MTA JOPs) into the survey.
Please be aware that the hyperlinks to places within this guidance, or to other sections of guidance, may not function currently; this will be addressed at point of publication.
Please provide sufficient detail in your comments for us to determine what content they relate to, along with the line number of the PDF document.
This survey platform will allow you to ‘Save and continue’ completion of your responses. If you use this option, you will be sent an email with a link to enable you to rejoin the survey.
If you have any questions, or experience any difficulties in completing the survey, please email pmo@nationalfirechiefs.org.uk.
