Starting Salary of £21,967 pro rata rate per annum within the Salary Scale SO2 range £36,124 – £37,938 (full time equivalent) per annum based on experience
22.5 hours per week (3 days per week)
Temporary – Fixed term contract until October 2025
The post holder will take the lead role in implementing Business Continuity provision across Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS), taking steps to ensure that plans are in place to maintain service delivery during emergencies, periods of industrial action and Major Incidents.
Duties will cover/ include:
• To develop, create and review Business Continuity (BC) plans for departments and functions within the Service.
• Ensure CFRS resilience for periods of industrial action is adequately planned for, exercised and assured, including the monitoring of the political landscape both locally and nationally.
• Horizon scanning for foreseeable threats and new / emerging corporate risks.
• Leading on initiatives to improve organisational resilience and proactively engage with regional and national forums.
• Develop, design and deliver BC training & awareness sessions.
To join our team, you’ll have:
• Certificate in Business Continuity Management or other relevant professional qualification in a related discipline (i.e. BC/Risk Management).
• Knowledge of Fire Service strategies, policies, procedures, and issues affecting the Fire Service on a Local, Regional and National level
• Ability to present and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, adapting style as appropriate to audience.
• ICT competent, with good experience, skills and ability to use Microsoft applications, Inc. Word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyse a wide range of data, translating complex needs into answerable questions to achieve outcomes.
• Prepared to represent CFRS and its core values and beliefs at all times
