Team Manager, Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Local Resilience Forum – Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service
We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Team Manager to join a newly formed, permanent, secretariat team for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire LRF. This post will lead the newly formed team to support the Local Resilience Forum across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Jointly hosted by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and Nottinghamshire Police, we are looking for an outstanding team leader who can work well across partners to deliver support to the LRF.
About the role
You will be supporting the Chair and Vice Chairs of the LRF Executive, and Resilience Working Group (RWG) to deliver the strategic aims of the LRF whilst driving the partnership and supporting the response to operational incidents.
You will be the manager for a team of three people: two LRF Officers and a LRF Support role. The team will have responsibility in the planning and administration of relevant workflows, projects and support of the LRF and its working groups.
Managing and delivering key projects and activities whilst being responsible for overseeing the development and evaluation of emergency protocols. You will also be communicating and raising the awareness of these to LRF partner agencies.
Working both independently and with team members from multiple LRF organisations, and in partnership with Government you will oversee the development and shaping of new initiatives to effectively deliver key workstreams of the LRF. The team will be managed by a Group Manager from NFRS for employment issues.
Daily activities will include working with LRF partners; researching and analysing a wide range of topics; writing reports and making recommendations based on this research; project management; developing initiatives for new ways of working and representing the LRF at local and national multi-agency meetings.
The role will also involve being on-call. Whilst on-call, you will be required to respond to a suitable work location within one hour of a request for support from any LRF partner for an incident, with a view of establishing, logging and supporting any Tactical Coordination Group (TCG) or Strategic Coordination Group (SCG) within a two-hour period.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be subject to a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service check and a NPVV Level Three Police Vetting check. Applicants will also be required to complete a Security Clearance (SC) check prior to undertaking the role. Applicants must have been a resident in the UK for the last 5 years to be eligible for a Security Clearance check.

Salary: £42,708 - £46,731 + On-Call allowance of £4,673pa
