No two days are the same, one day you may be called out to an incident, and the next visiting schools and inspiring the next generation. Being a firefighter is so much more than fighting fires and you will play a huge role in educating the local community on fire safety and prevention methods.

Postings for specific Stations will be offered after your successful interview, approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the course. You will have the opportunity to request your preferred Station Posting, we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to offer you your first choice.
Training Course: Wholetime recruits course runs over a 13-week period. This is a residential course at our NYFRS Training Centre in Easingwold.
Salary: Trainee Firefighter £28,265, Development £29,442 and Competent £37,675
Contract type: Full Time
