NFCC Operational Preparedness, Response, and Resilience Conference

The NFCC is pleased to announce the 2026 Operational Preparedness, Response and Resilience Conference, taking place in Warwickshire from 9–11 February 2026.Â
This year’s programme will cover key developments including plans for the College of Fire, learning from select committees, competency updates, high-rise fire guidance, military lessons, and the latest emerging technologies.Â
A highlight of the event will be a case study from Professor Ricardo Weewer of the Netherlands Fire Service Academy. He will present the Quadrant Model, outlining four tactical approaches—defensive/exterior, offensive/exterior, defensive/interior and offensive/interior—and how it supports real-time decision-making. He will also discuss shared leadership and the importance of leaders understanding the core ‘DNA’ of the fire service, emphasising the value of trust and involvement in frontline decision-making.Â
If you know of people in your organisation who have never attended an NFCC event and would benefit from attendance, please pass the information on.
