Protection Fire Standard
Closing Date: 23/10/2025
Consultation Status: Closed
Welcome to the consultation for the review of the Protection Fire Standard.
The Protection Fire Standard was published in September 2021. Since its publication, the Fire Standards Board has developed a total of nineteen Fire Standards. The review of this standard was completed by a group of practitioners from across Fire and Rescue Services within England, and supported by Dave Russel, Chief Fire Officer and NFCC Protection Committee Chair, and Justin Sharp, NFCC Interim Head of Protection.
The Fire Standards Board has committed to the regular review of published Fire Standards to ensure that they remain appropriate for the benefit of the sector.
This consultation seeks to gather views about the proposed amendments to the Fire Standard, as well as the impact on those organisations who will be expected to align to it.
If you have any questions about this consultation, please contact the Fire Standards team. Many thanks for taking the time to respond, your feedback is appreciated.
