Join Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service in a vital role supporting our HR system and absence management processes. As a Systems Support / Absence Administrator, you will help maintain accurate sickness absence records, support the team responsible for our HR system and provide general administration duties.

We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical information clearly to an audience of various skill levels through both written and verbal communication. If you can manage priorities effectively and build relationships through a customer-focused approach, this role could be for you.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the maintenance of accurate sickness absence and other leave records.
Track medical certificates, return-to-work forms and absence triggers.
Support the long-term sickness process by providing administration support.
Provide guidance notes and recordings to managers and employees on the HR system.
Provide general administration support including booking meetings, taking notes, answer queries and answering phone calls.

Experience/Qualification

Experience of managing databases and information on electronic systems.
Ability and past experience of dealing with employees at all levels.
Possess an understanding of the important of accurate data entry.
Ability to assimilate and apply technical information.
Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
Ability to use MS Office applications.
Understanding of data protection and equality issues.
Be willing to undertake training.
