NFCC RPE EqIA consultation

Closing Date: 22/06/2026

Consultation Status: Open

Introduction

NFCC is undertaking consultation on a draft equality impact analysis (EqIA) for the use of tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE). This draft EqIA has been created through collaboration with Norfolk Fire and Rescue service, the NFCC Health, Safety and Wellbeing committee, and the NFCC BA & RPE lead officer.

The purpose of this consultation is to gather feedback on the potential usefulness, content, and application of this approach across the sector.

Please note that any EqIA adopted by an individual fire and rescue service should reflect local operational requirements, workforce considerations, and community demographics. This draft document is not intended to replace locally developed assessment and decision-making processes.
