It is intended to establish regular forum meetings which will feed into the Cyber Leads Forum (Chair currently advertised) and the ICT Managers Forum, Chaired by Julian Martin, CIO, LFB.  Those forums feed into the NFCC Digital, Technology and Cyber Board and then into the NFCC DDaT Committee.

The holder of the position will work closely with the NFCC Digital, Technology and Cyber Lead, Gillian Fyfe and Steve Taylor, Strategic Data Lead.

  • Co-chairing and developing a regular AI Forum with support from NFCC.
  • Supporting the development of Community of Interest sub-groups.
  • Sharing relevant updates with the ICT Managers Forum and Cyber Leads Forum.

  • Having a strong and consistent voice on the requirements of the sector for the ethical development and rollout of AI products.
  • Supporting the growth of communication platforms, including Teams and Workplace.

You must have:

  • Experience or a good knowledge of the operational and strategic delivery of AI, and an understanding of the key drivers and challenges from both technical and digital transformation perspectives.
  • The ability to translate technical understanding in order to share the benefits and risks to people outside of the DDaT professions.
  • A good understanding of the issues and difference in approaches in devolved nations and varying governance models across the UK.
  • The passion to drive change in the sector and bring others with you.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully engaging at national level with multiple stakeholders and the wider industry sector, including central government.
