– Financial administration – processing purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims in line with County Council procedures.
– Meeting support – preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action points to ensure timely completion.
– Customer service – answering non-emergency calls, providing clear and helpful information to the public, and liaising with internal teams to resolve queries.

You will need
– A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
– Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
– Ability to work collaboratively towards shared goals, as well as independently.
– Confident communication skills and a professional approach.

The team

– Based at Endeavour House, Ipswich, the Business Support Team provides assistance to multiple departments and acts as the non-emergency link to the public.
– You will have opportunities to get involved in events such as Open Days and the County Show, and work with teams across the service.
– Office days are typically Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays. We are flexible and happy to discuss arrangements in line with County Council policy. – There would be a requirement to be office based during the initial training period.
