Crew Manager – Risk Information Team – Kent Fire and Rescue Service

Being a Crew Manager – Risk Information Team:

As a Crew Manager within the Risk Information Team (RIT) at Kent Fire and Rescue Service, your main role is to support the RIT Lead & Building Risk Information Lead in gathering Site Specific Risk Information (SSRI) and producing risk information documents and materials that will be used for training, planning, and during incidents by your Kent Fire and Rescue Service colleagues. This exciting new opportunity is available to:

– Substantive Crew Managers requesting a sideway move.
– Whole time and Part time Firefighters who have attended a development centre.

What you’ll do:

– Support the RIT Lead with the creation, communication, sharing, and cascading of Site-Specific Risk Information.
– Support and develop the RAV-INT operational risk-based inspection of premises across Kent and Medway.
– Share KFRS SSRI with cross-border fire and rescue services and provide cross-border information with operational colleagues when they need it.
– Provide training and support to current and new users of the Dynamics platform where required.
– Manage SSRI into a format that colleagues can access, understand, and interpret to make informed operational decisions.

What you’ll bring:

– Experience of organising and delivering station training events.
– Knowledge and understanding of the Dynamics Risk Management platform.
– Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, which involves the ability to communicate to a range of audiences, to produce good quality SSRI for operational crews.
– Experience in working effectively with Internal and external partners and building positive relationships.
