Data and Information Analyst – Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service
We are seeking to fill an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Data and Information Analyst to join our Data and Information team.
Reporting directly to the Data and Performance Advisor, you will be responsible for identifying trends relating to data from a range of systems and summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for recipients.
This role will provide technical advice, guidance, support and training to Service personnel on the effective use of data and performance information including systems. You will assist in planning, developing, implementing and maintaining the Service’s data and information systems as well as software and risk assessment tools required to support the function e.g. T_SQL, SSRS, Incident Recording System, CFRMIS, GIS (including Workload Modelling) and Power BI.

About the Data and Information Team:
The Data and Information team provide efficient, effective, timely and accurate data and information to internal and external stakeholders. The team also ensure compliance with legislation in relation to data protection and information governance.
As a Data and Information Analyst you will:
• Effectively collect data to ensure all information gathered by TWFRS is relevant, accurate and useful to the organisation.
• Proactively analyse data and information to support the performance management and decision-making processes for the organisation.
• Ensure accurate, reliable and consistent data and information is provided to all stakeholders to support organisational decision making.
• Ensure appropriate data storage, retention and disposal procedures are in place to comply with relevant Data Protection legislation.
We are seeking a candidate who has demonstrable experience of:
• Analysing and interpreting data using a range of techniques.
• Identifying trends and interpretating complex data.
• Effective IT skills.
• Effective time management to work to conflicting priorities.
