Outreach Officer – Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service
As an Outreach Officer in our newly created Prevention and Protection Outreach Team you will make a real difference to communities across Greater Manchester. You will deliver safety advice and interventions in schools and to community groups as well as engaging with businesses. You will be at the heart of developing new ways of working to expand our services and ensure that we are getting the right advice to the right people at the right time.
Recently graded good by HMICFRS for our Prevention and our Protection work, we are on a journey to outstanding and our Outreach Team will play a pivotal role in expanding what we do and delivering differently.
As an Outreach Officer you will develop and deliver education packages for our targeted schools and specialist educational provision, lead on identifying new and emerging risks and developing campaigns to address these and ensure that community and business engagement are delivered consistently. You will support residents and communities, for example by supporting post incident response and delivering Days of Action.
In this role, you’ll flourish in a lively environment where your contributions make a real difference. You will provide outstanding support to a diverse range of Service users and utilise various corporate databases and Microsoft packages to support our offers to people and places.
Salary: £28,637 - £32,305
Contract type: Full Time
