Are you a strategic leader passionate about shaping the future of the fire and rescue sector? We are seeking an outstanding individual to serve as Vice-Chair of our Digital, Technology and Cyber (DTC) Board. If you have exceptional leadership skills and a strong interest in digital, technology and cyber security, recognising their importance for driving improvement in the fire sector, we want to hear from you!

As Vice-Chair, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and championing the work of this Board, driving innovation and progress in digital transformation and cyber resilience within the sector. Your leadership will be instrumental in surfacing local and regional initiatives, shaping strategic priorities, collaborating with subject matter experts, and fostering collaboration across the industry.

This voluntary position requires up to two days per month and offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of the sector.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrable leadership experience with a focus on driving strategic initiatives.
  • A strong interest in leveraging the value of digital, data, technology and cyber security, with an appreciation of the fire and rescue sector’s specific needs.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills to champion the Boards’ work, be the executive connection to the wider NFCC governance, and promote collaboration across industry networks.
  • Strong organisational and analytical abilities, with a focus on prioritisation and effective decision-making.
  • Passion for advancing data-driven decision-making, digital innovation, and cyber resilience in the fire and rescue sector.
