Fires on board vessels

It was brought to our attention that there were some missing and duplicated hazards (and their control measures) in the guidance and training specification.

• Operational Guidance
  • This was missing the hazard Working near water or other liquids, which has been reinstated. Although this hazard appears in the ‘all incident’ Operations guidance, due to the amplified hazard when working on board vessels, it adds benefit to this section of the guidance.
• Training Specification
  • In error there were three instances of the hazard Ineffective communications: Confined space, which has now been corrected
  • This was missing the hazard Fire and thermal radiation: Fires on board vessels, which has been reinstated
