Guidance Update emails sent 26 July 2025

NFCC members, with an interest in the Operational Guidance, were sent some Guidance Update emails on Saturday 26 July; you may have received four in total.

The email that referred to an updated hyperlink in the hazard ‘Electricity’ and the minor rewording of a strategic action for timber buildings under construction, was accurate but was sent out three times in error.

In the other email, the change referred to in the hazard ‘Motor vehicle repair workshops’ was incorrectly generated. We can confirm that no changes have been made to this hazard.

However, the same email correctly identified that a control measure had been amended, and a new strategic action and tactical action added, all associated with an approved change request relating to badger setts.

Apologies for any confusion caused by these automated emails. When changes are made to hazards or control measures, the email should normally display a text explanation for changes in the righthand column. This matter has been referred to the Digital Transformation team, who will be investigating why this happened.
