Incidents on or near railway infrastructure

Following on from the recent publication of the Fire Control Guidance for Transport – Incidents on or near railway infrastructure, it was identified that that the terminology differentiated slightly from the Operational Guidance for the same topic.

The terminology used in the hazards, control measures, strategic actions, tactical actions and training specifications has been updated to refer to ‘railway infrastructure’ instead of ‘railways’ or ‘rail networks’.

Apologies for any inconvenience this causes you, but it was felt important that we make this update as the term ‘railway infrastructure’ also aligns the Fire Control Guidance to the JESIP/Network Rail products, on which some of the guidance is based.
