Following discussions with National Highways, their publication ‘Smart Motorways National Operating Agreement’ has been withdrawn. References to Smart Motorways in the Fire Control Guidance have been removed, as they form part of what is now referred to as Managed Motorways. These appeared in the hazard Calls from or about people at risk: Incidents involving a road vehicle.
