Training Support Instructor – South Wales Fire & Rescue Service

The above opportunity has arisen within our Cardiff Gate Operational Training, Leadership & Personal Development Academy at Church Road, Old St. Mellons, Cardiff, CF3 6YA.

This is an excellent opening for individuals to be involved in delivering training to employees of South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and other agencies. Individuals will gain considerable experience and knowledge in the coordination and maintenance of training equipment. The successful post holder will be responsible for:-

• Delivering training to operational Firefighters and other agencies/groups, including where appropriate breathing apparatus course delivery.

• Maintaining training equipment at Cardiff Gate and Satellite Training facilities throughout the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service area.

Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential for this post.

The successful candidate will be required to have a fitness test, a medical, Drug and Alcohol Test and a disclosure and Barring Service Check prior to an appointment being made.
