Responding to today’s major fire in high-rise residential buildings in Hong Kong, National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Chair, Phil Garrigan, said:
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the people of Hong Kong following the devastating fire. Our thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones and those injured. We are also deeply saddened to hear of the firefighter who tragically lost their life – a stark reminder of the courage and sacrifice shown by firefighters every day to protect their communities.
“We send our heartfelt condolences to all affected, including Hong Kong’s emergency responders”.
