Emergency Response Driving (ERD) Instructor courses

Closing Date: 01/11/2022

Consultation Status: Closed

Welcome to the consultation for the Emergency Response Driving (ERD) Instructor courses.

The ERD Instructor courses will underpin the Emergency Response Driving Fire Standard published in February 2021. Each ERD Instructor course comprises of four modules. Successful completion of either course (Class 3 and 4 vehicles or Class 2 vehicles) will result in the instructor being approved as an NFCC ERD Instructor and enable entry to be placed on the NFCC ERD Instructor register for the relevant class of vehicle. Whilst some aspects of both courses are similar, each course has been designed around the different vehicle classes.

This consultation seeks to gather views about the proposed courses as well as the impact on those organisations who will deliver them, either to their own employees or to employees of other services.

You are invited to review the document below and give your feedback via the consultation survey.
