Fire Standards Workshops

Join the NFCC Fire Standards team for a practical introduction to Fire Standards and their role in supporting continuous improvement across fire and rescue services. The session will explore what Fire Standards are, and how they can be used to support implementation, assurance, and organisational improvement.

During the workshop, we’ll cover:

• The purpose of Fire Standards and the role of the Fire Standards Board.
• The key components of a Fire Standard, including the Desired Outcome, Must, Should and May statements, and Expected Benefits.
• How Fire Standards support organisational assurance, planning, and inspection readiness.
• Practical approaches to implementation and embedding standards within your service.
