The Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) Conference hosted by the National Fire Chiefs Council is a pivotal event designed to bring together senior leaders and practitioners in the fire service sector.
With a focus on digital transformation, data management, and cybersecurity, this conference serves as a platform to explore innovative strategies and technologies shaping the future of firefighting and emergency response.  From transferable examples in other sectors to case studies from our own services, we’ll hear from those leading the way in the DDaT field.
By harnessing the collective expertise and insights of industry leaders and practitioners, the conference aims to empower fire and rescue services to meet the evolving challenges of the 21st century effectively.

The conference is aimed at Senior Leaders: Chief Fire Officers and other senior executives responsible for setting strategic direction, policy and procurement within fire and rescue services and Practitioners: Frontline firefighters and operational staff involved in the implementation and utilisation of digital technologies, data management systems, and cybersecurity protocols. The conference will begin with registration, lunch and networking at 11.30 on 1st with conference sessions kicking off at 1pm.  The 2nd will be a full day of sessions and the event will conclude with lunch on the 3rd by 2pm.  We will be holding a networking dinner with the DDaT awards on the evening of the 1st but there will be no organised evening event on 2nd, giving delegates the opportunity to make their own plans and explore the area.
If you are booking an option with no accommodation – i.e. a day ticket we are unable to book separate accommodation for you and you are responsible for booking your own accommodation directly.
NFCC Digital, Data and Technology Awards 2025
For 2025, we see the return of the NFCC DDaT Awards which recognise and celebrate the achievements of DDaT activity in fire and rescue services. The presentation of the awards will take place during the networking dinner on the 1st July, where winners will be announced on the night. By nominating an individual or team, you will be supporting their skills, dedication and commitment whilst also helping to raise the profile of prevention and protection work. For all awards, the nomination should be relevant to activities which took place in the period since June 2024.
The categories are as follows:
- Inspirational Leader Award
- Outstanding Practitioner Award
- Excellence in Data Award
- Excellence in Digital Award
- Excellence in Cyber Award
