Area Manager/Head of Directorate – Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service
Area Managers / Head of Directorates within Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are based at Service Headquarters and operate collectively to deliver the objectives of the Community Risk Management Plan, with the aim of making Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent the safest places to live, work and visit.
Reporting to the Assistant Chief Fire Officer, these senior leader roles provide strategic leadership across key service functions and contribute as members of the Senior Leadership Team in shaping organisational direction, performance and culture.
There are three Area Manager/Head of Directorate portfolios:
• Head of Response– Service Delivery Groups, Learning and Development, Workforce Development, Emergency Response Team, Joint Emergency Transport Services, Operational Assurance, JESIP, NFCC National Resilience and Fire Control.
• Prevent, Protect and Partnerships – Protection, Prevention, Partnerships and Engagement
• Strategy and Intelligence– Strategy, Fire Standards, Community Risk Management Planning (CRMP), Risk Profiling, Corporate Risk and Business Continuity, Performance and Assurance, ICT, HMICFRS and Resourcing.
Salary: Area Manager Competent B/ Grade 11 pending market rate
