DDat Coordinator – Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are looking for a DDaT Coordinator to join our forward-thinking Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team, based at our Service Headquarters in Exeter.

This role is available on a permanent, full time basis, working 37 hours per week, with a starting salary of £29,540 rising annually to £32,061.

The role is well established within the Service and continues to evolve alongside our digital ambitions. You will support the DDaT team by coordinating activities, managing information, and working closely with colleagues across the organisation, as well as external suppliers.

You will be part of a fast-paced environment, acting as a central point of contact for DDaT queries and supporting a range of digital and IT processes. This includes working with managers and teams to ensure processes, change and communications run smoothly.

Key responsibilities of the DDaT Coordinator role:

In this role, you will:

Operate as a generalist DDaT coordinator, providing accurate and relevant administrative advice, guidance, and management information to DDaT business partners and managers across the Service in a broad range of DDaT processes.

Supports the development and application of continuous improvement initiatives in line with the strategic direction of DDaT, working closely with team members to benefit both colleagues and stakeholders.

Handles day-to-day DDaT queries, providing advice in line with current policies, procedures, and best practices.

Coordinates IT-related administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, documenting processes, managing IT support tickets, and maintaining regular communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Builds and maintains effective stakeholder relationships with managers, colleagues, business partners, and promotes positive digital engagement with employees.

Provides professional customer service and collaborates with stakeholders across the Service, as well as external agencies and third-party contacts when necessary.
