An exciting opportunity has arisen for a First Responder and Emergency Care (FREC) Trainer to join our Learning and Development team. This role is key to delivering high-quality training that supports lifesaving interventions across our communities. You will design and deliver engaging training programmes, helping to develop the skills and confidence of responders. Key Responsibilities
• Deliver and coordinate FREC training including First Aid at Work and Level 3 qualifications
• Maintain competence levels of operational personnel through ongoing training and re-qualification
• Support planning, organisation, and delivery of training programmes
• Implement Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and ensure compliance with awarding body standards
• Liaise with partner organisations to ensure consistency in training delivery
• Coordinate community co-responder schemes and stakeholder relationships
• Provide support and debriefing to personnel involved in emergency response
• Contribute to training development, e-learning updates, and CPD initiatives
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, equality, and safeguarding policies

Experience/Qualification
• Experience working in a training environment with proven course design and delivery skills
• Qualified in First Aid or First Response, with practical operational experience
• Recognised teaching or training qualification (e.g. Qualsafe or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Community Responder Schemes and emergency care practices
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and solve problems
• Understanding of Health & Safety, and relevant clinical guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
