An exciting opportunity has arisen for a First Responder and Emergency Care (FREC) Trainer to join our Learning and Development team. This role is key to delivering high-quality training that supports lifesaving interventions across our communities. You will design and deliver engaging training programmes, helping to develop the skills and confidence of responders. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and experienced trainer with a background in first response or healthcare, who thrives on making a real difference. Key Responsibilities
• Deliver and coordinate FREC training including First Aid at Work and Level 3 qualifications
• Maintain competence levels of operational personnel through ongoing training and re-qualification
• Support planning, organisation, and delivery of training programmes
• Implement Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and ensure compliance with awarding body standards
• Liaise with partner organisations to ensure consistency in training delivery
• Coordinate community co-responder schemes and stakeholder relationships
• Provide support and debriefing to personnel involved in emergency response
• Contribute to training development, e-learning updates, and CPD initiatives
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, equality, and safeguarding policies

Experience/Qualification
• Experience working in a training environment with proven course design and delivery skills
• Qualified in First Aid or First Response, with practical operational experience
• Recognised teaching or training qualification (e.g. Qualsafe or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Community Responder Schemes and emergency care practices
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and solve problems
• Understanding of Health & Safety, and relevant clinical guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary: £33,699 - £37,280 per annum

Contract type: Full Time
