National Resilience USAR Capability Advisor – Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service
As the Lead Authority for National Reslience (NR), Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are recruiting for a USAR Capability Advisor.
The postholder will provide tactical overview and co-ordinate and support the NR assurance process; support exercises deploying NR capabilities; and provide advice and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders to maximise the benefits of the capability. Candidates will currently need to hold a minimum rank of substantive and competent Station Manager. Applicants will need to have extensive experience of the USAR capability and have a good knowledge of the wider cohort of NR capabilities and the work of the Lead Authority.
In addition, applicants should have exceptional skills in producing and presenting information, including reports to the USAR National Strategic Advisor, Home Office and a wide range of stakeholders and must be able to communicate with stakeholders across operational, tactical and strategic levels.
