– Drive operational excellence and professionalism across multiple stations or functional area of the Service.

– Competent Wholetime Watch Managers ready for the next step, or Station Managers seeking to transfer into LFRS.
– Strong leadership and communication skills.

Who Can Apply?
External competent Watch Managers and Station Managers who hold an ICL1 qualification.

Applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to participate in the recruitment process detailed below. This process is designed to help us identify future leaders who can help us maintain our position as the top performing FRS in the country.

Recruitment Process
All communication will be managed through the iTrent online recruitment system, so please ensure the email address you provide is accurate and monitored regularly.

The process includes:
1. Application Form
2. Shortlisting
3. Assessment Day (this will include a Level 2 command assessment)
4. Final Interview (which may include a presentation)

There will be a sift after each stage of the recruitment process.

Substantive Station Managers and Talent Pool
Successful candidates will be considered for appointment to substantive Station Manager posts, or the Station Manager Talent Pool.

Assessment Day: Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 October 2026
Final Interviews: Thursday 5, Friday 6 and Monday 9 November 2026
