Station Manager – Service Delivery – West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service

When emergencies happen, our teams are ready. As a Station Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring we deliver safe, effective, and inclusive services that protect life, property, and communities.

As a Station Manager in Service Delivery, you will lead with integrity, supporting people, driving performance, and ensuring excellent operational response.

You will:

Lead, support, and develop high-performing teams
Take responsibility for station performance and service delivery
Deliver community risk management and service improvement plans
Act as an Incident Commander and provide operational leadership
Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders
Foster an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and contribute

This role is conditioned to the Day Duty System. A Flexi Duty rota line may be offered in the future, subject to business needs and statutory requirements, but this is not immediately applicable. If a Flexi Duty rota line is offered, a 20% allowance will be payable. Internal candidates who currently hold a substantive Flexi Duty line will retain this.

Salary: Station Manager B development £50,135 – competent £55,301
