Improvement Support

NFCC has developed our improvement and implementation support through a team of Implementation Liaison Managers who directly support colleagues in services to use and embed NFCC products. To date, the team has delivered a considerable number of interventions including workshops and events to raise awareness of approaches to achieve Fire Standards whilst also embedding wider NFCC products, tools and guidance tailored to meet FRS needs.

The team provides a consultancy-style offer, supporting you in benchmarking, organisational self-assurance, governance methodologies and benefits management, to list just a few.

The Implementation Liaison Managers work in the Implementation Support Team where we can help you meet your improvement objectives by:

  • Raising awareness of NFCC guidance, products, tools and Fire Standards
  • Guiding and advising on benchmarking, organisational self-assurance, evaluation,  governance methodologies and benefits management
  • Mapping gaps in FRS provision to NFCC products and standards
  • Helping to understand and embed products and standards by developing implementation toolkits, and providing workshops and training
  • Signposting to acknowledged good practice across the sector and developing relationships with other FRSs
  • Providing feedback to NFCC colleagues about products including recognised benefits, barriers to implementation, and further support required
  • Providing a closer link to HMICFRS and Home Office initiatives to increase intelligence and understanding within FRSs
