Consultation status: Closed

Thank you for visiting the consultation regarding the Job Description and Person Specification for the role of a Firefighter as part of the NFCC People Programme’s Recruitment project. The consultation will be open until Thursday 9th December 2021.

This consultation is open to all, and particularly aimed at those who are working in roles relating to recruitment, so please do share with your fire service colleagues and other stakeholders that may be interested in shaping the final product to enable it to be best used by the fire sector.

The government are planning to launch a fire reform white paper and consultation in the Autumn, which will seek views on issues related to people, professionalism and governance. We will continue to work together to ensure alignment of our proposals.

National discussions are ongoing around the topic of Marauding Terrorist Attacks, and once these discussions have been resolved, the outcome will be reflected within the service-specific duties section of the Job Description and Person Specification.
