We are delighted to inform you that the NFCC Direct Entry Scheme consultation is open and will run until Friday 29 October 2021.

This consultation is an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed training programme (Executive Summaries) that a Direct Entrant at Station and Area Manager level would undertake.

We’re actively encouraging all fire and rescue services and other external stakeholders to take part in this consultation to ensure we deliver the best, quality assured training programmes.

The government are planning to launch a consultation in the autumn, which will also seek views on leadership in the fire sector. We will continue to work together to ensure alignment of our proposals.
