The service aims to establish a talent pool of high calibre individuals ready for appointment to Crew and Watch Commander Control vacancies, that may arise over the next 6 – 12 months.

Successful candidates will be dynamic, and able to demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, aligned to the NFCC Leadership Framework, our service professional behaviours and values. They will have the ability to motivate and empower others to understand and deliver on our objectives.

The WC Control role will be responsible in the supervisory management of the designated Watch in Service Control, providing leadership for and assisting in coordinating the activities of the Watch and managing day to day use of allocated Service Control resources to ensure the effective provision of call receipt, mobilising, communications, operational availability and associated information support.

The CC Control role will assist in the supervisory management as outlined above.

There has been significant investment in the County of Bedfordshire recently, including the planned approval for Universal Studios due to open in 2031, the East/West rail project and development of a new town in Tempsford. This is an exciting time to join our Service.
