The official conference hotel is The Clayton Hotel, Albert St, Birmingham B5 5JE.
The hotel has provided discount for booking for our event attendees. The cost is £164 single occ and £179 double occ per room per night inclusive of tax and breakfast.

Please ensure you choose Exchange Square Hotel as there are many Premier Inn Hotels in Birmingham City Centre. For Premier Inn bookings you will need to book breakfast separately.
- Ways to get to The Clayton Hotel from Birmingham International Airport
By Taxi service and Uber: The Airport Rank is located just outside the terminal building. No booking is required, go straight to the taxi rank. A customer services representative is available at the taxi rank to assist passengers with their journey. You may also use Uber, which are usually cheaper than a taxi.
By train: Take the free monorail from the airport terminal to Birmingham International Train Station. From here you can take the train to Birmingham New Street Station, approximately a 10 minute train journey.
By Bus: The 900 Airport Link runs between the airport terminals and the city centre every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during the evenings and on Saturdays.

FEU desk will be situated at The Clayton Hotel lobby. Check-in time is from 2pm till 5pm Wednesday 5th June. If you are not arriving on Wednesday you can also check in at the conference venue on the morning of 6th June.
5. Arrival and welcome get-together – Wednesday 5th June
For those arriving on Wednesday there will be an evening welcome reception at Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum, Millennium Point, Birmingham, B4 7XG. From 6.30pm.
A guide from NFCC will meet you at the reception at 6.30pm to escort you. Food and drinks are included.
Dress code: Formal business.

Thursday, 6th June
9am – 12.30pm Formal business and leaderships items.
1.30pm – 5pm Seminar on Violence of First Responders, especially Firefighters
Location: Thinktank, Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham, B4 7XG. A short 5 minute walk from The Clayton Hotel, or a short taxi ride.
A guide from NFCC will meet you at the reception at 8.30am to escort you.
Dress code: Business casual.
- Dinner Thursday night – 6th June
Dinner will take place at West Midlands Fire Service Headquarters, 99 Vauxhall Road, Birmingham, B7 4HW. A short 10-15 minute walk from The Clayton Hotel, or a short taxi ride.
A guide from West Midlands Fire Service will meet you at the HQ reception at 7pm to escort you. Food and drinks are included.
Dress code: Casual.

- Dinner Friday evening – 7th June
The official program ends Friday afternoon, but for those with staying on we will host a dinner on Friday evening from 7-9pm. Details of the restaurant will be posted here soon but it will be close to the conference hotel.

- Partners program
The partners are, as always, very welcome in Birmingham, and there will be a partly arranged program for them, during half the days Thursday and Friday (approx. 10am – 2pm). The rest of the time is free to enjoy Birmingham, which we hope the partners will do, as we are staying right in the city centre.
The costs for the partners (such as transport, entry fees, lunches etc.) is paid for individually. Please be informed that price for the Partners Program is approx. £100 – please indicate on the attendance form if your partner would like to join and we will provide the information in due course on the activities.
