Carbon Reduction Project Manager – London Fire Brigade

London Fire Brigade (LFB) are one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. There are 103 Fire Stations across the London Boroughs split into five districts, along with a call centre and headquarters building. LFB also form part of the Greater London Authority (GLA) organisations which also include Transport for London (TfL) and London Metropolitan Police Service. The carbon reduction team plans, designs and manages projects to conform with the high expectations here, setting an example for all, hence we have a fantastic opportunity for a carbon reduction project manager to join the team and make their mark. We are looking for a technical individual that is experienced in problem solving within a technical environment and is able to work collaboratively as a team member whilst being forward looking.

You will be delivering property projects as required such that they are customer focused, on time, within budget and carried out in accordance with agreed standards and policies. Providing a professional service for the oversight of all electrical and mechanical upgrades relating to energy efficiency and carbon reduction. The successful candidate will be required to manage appointed suppliers to deliver carbon reduction projects as allocated. Management of carbon reducing initiatives, management of carbon emission assessments and reporting. This will include managing and delivering DNO electrical upgrades, from concept through to delivery. Working closely with the carbon reduction team to ensure all projects are delivered in a cost effective manner.

In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed by successful candidates, which will include a Standard criminal records check. Successful candidate will be required to declare any convictions for offences and any offer of employment is subject to the LFC receiving a criminal records disclosure which it considers satisfactory.

Salary: £52,242.00 - £67,836.00 per annum
