Volunteer 10 x Regional Champions – FIRE AID

We are looking for several volunteer regional champions who will work with their own and surrounding FRS to keep FIRE AID on Senior Managers radar.

The role will involve:

  1. Liaising with other regional champions
  2. Liaising with and reporting into FIRE AID Steering Committee and Trustees
  3. Identifying Senior Managers responsible for asset disposal in your own service and 2 surrounding services
  4. Keeping in regular contact with above managers to get an MoU signed between FRS and FIRE AID. The MoU will aim to list FIRE AID as an option to consider for asset disposal
  5. Raise awareness of our work across 3 FRS
  6. Share our newsletters in 3 FRS internal communications
  7. Support FIRE AID with recruitment of volunteers as and when needed on specific projects
  8. Arrange one car wash per year across your service to raise funds for FIRE AID

The champion will be:

  1. Self-motivated
  2. Passionate about FIRE AID’s work and international development
  3. Confident in communicating at all levels
  4. Good relationship builder
  5. Organised

This is a volunteer role, but all expenses will be covered by the charity. There will be the opportunity to represent FIRE AID at conferences and/or on international projects as and when the opportunity arises.  This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress in their fire service career, learn new skills and get to really understand the challenges of working in a small but impactful charity.
