Fire Control Watch Manager and Crew Manager – County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service

County Durham & Darlington Fire and Rescue (CDDFRS) welcome applications from ambitious and forward-thinking substantive and competent Control Crew and Watch Managers who would like to transfer to the Service. We consider ourselves to be a professional, high performing, inclusive and innovative organisation which is well regarded by the communities we serve and the partner organisations with whom we collaborate.

We are looking for inspiring, supportive leaders who are motivated by improving how we work and making a real difference for the communities we serve and the organisation as a whole. As a Control Crew or Watch Manager, you will be a role model for the Service’s values and behaviours, embedding the NFCC Code of Ethics in everything you do and demonstrating continuous competence against the relevant Control Crew or Watch Manager Rolemap.

You will need to be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who strives for CDDFRS to be the best Fire and Rescue Service. The role requires flexible, dynamic working with strong communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate others and drive change. An ethical, supportive, and engaging style of leadership and management and a commitment to all aspects of diversity is essential.

To transfer into the service applicants must be a substantive, fully competent Control Crew or Watch Manager within another UK Fire and Rescue Service and be able to demonstrate evidence against their personal development record.
Please note successful applicants will be added to a talent pool of suitable candidates which the Service will be able to draw upon as and when vacancies arise.

Applications are invited from substantive and competent Fire Control Crew Managers or Fire Control Watch Managers
